Hi, my name is Mark Harris and I am a beard fan. I decided to grow my beard just a bit after the birth of my middle daughter in 2019, ending years of shaving every day and suffering from irritated skin.

My wife didn’t love the idea and preferred my shaved look, but when months passed by and she saw how determined I was about not shaving, she bought me some beard care products and decided that if I was going to do it, I should do it right.

I immediately knew I must do as she says on this… She started reading a lot herself about beard care, watched many YouTube videos (I must say, most of them were crap), and shared with me what she had learned.

So, we became a team of two, researching and testing different products until we found the perfect combination for my beard. Since then, I’ve learned a lot about how to grow and nurture a healthy, good-looking beard.

We live in Boston with our three daughters, who at first also didn’t like my scruffy look, and now enjoy playing with my soft beard and don’t even remember the time when daddy didn’t have it…

I decided to start this blog to share my knowledge about beards and hopefully help other guys who are thinking of growing one, or who are already on their beard journey, because as I see it – we bearded men are a brotherhood. And I am happy to be part of it!
